This shock mat emits a low-power electronic pulse similar to static electricity, powered by a 19V alkaline battery (not included). It is safe but powerful enough to ward off pets. If your pet stays on the mat for more than 15 seconds, the static function will turn off for 200 seconds to protect them. After that, it will continue to function until your pet gets off the mat.
